Spread the costs

We have a partnership with a leading funeral finance company to help you spread the cost of the funeral

Standardised Price List

As part of the recent regulation of the funeral sector, all funeral directors are required to present their main prices in a standardised formate. This helps families to compare different funeral directors.

How do our funerals work?

We do not have a set of specific ‘packages’ to box you in to preselected options, but instead work with you to create a bespoke funeral which truly represents how you wish to remember your loved one.

Our funerals are made up to four distinct parts:

  • Our service to the person who has died
  • Our service to you
  • Your personalised choices
  • Third-party arrangements and charges

These are explained in more detail here:

1. Our service to the person who has died [£600]

Bringing your loved one from their current resting place into our care and looking after them in our state-of-the-art facilities on site in our funeral home right up until the funeral. We will care for them lovingly as if they were a member of our own family, and we will prepare, clean and dress them in any way you ask us to. [An additional £195 is charged for the collection of deceased outside our normal office hours.]

2. Our service to you

Choose one from the following three options for the level of service you would like from us:

Essential Service [£900]

  • Our care, attention and assistance with all the funeral arrangements, including with any third parties like doctors, ministers, churches, crematoria and cemeteries.
  • Our professional preparation of all the legal, medical and administrative paperwork needed for the funeral.
  • One of our experienced Funeral Directors to manage the logistics and proceedings on the day of the funeral.
  • Use of our on-site chapel of rest to spend time with the deceased prior to the funeral (if desired).
  • Collection and care of the ashes after the funeral has taken place.

    3. Your personalised choices

    The Coffin
Choose from our wide range of different coffins. We have hand-selected a comprehensive choice of coffins from different suppliers all over the country and are proud to present this eclectic range including traditional wooded coffins, various environmentally friendly options, and a number of other options including American-style caskets and personalised picture coffins. Please follow the link at the bottom of this page to see our range.

    The Vehicles
Choose from our range of different hearses and limousines. Our standard fleets are the traditional black motorised vehicles; however, we also have silver and white as well as rarer alternative fleets, and horse-drawn hearses. Please follow the link at the bottom of this page to see our available vehicles.

    4. Third-party charges for the funeral

The third-party charges are any charges from external organisations which, for ease, we pay on your behalf. These might typically include the crematorium or cemetery, as well as celebrants or ministers. In the case of a cremation this will often also include doctors’ fees. These prices are always set by the third-party provider, and we do not add anything to them. They can be very different from funeral to funeral depending on the details you choose, but we will walk you through everything.

    Optional extras to consider

It is a lovely gesture for family or friends to carry (or ‘bear’) the coffin of a loved one themselves at a funeral. However, if you would prefer, you can use a team of professional bearers to do this for you. We provide a team of four bearers as standard with the costs of our hearse, but if you would like more, we can easily arrange that.

Speak to us directly about whether you feel you would like family and friends to bear the coffin, or whether you would prefer for us to do it on your behalf.

    Embalming  [£190]

We do not routinely embalm people as part of our ‘standard’ services. However, there may be circumstances when you would prefer us to, or when we might advise that it is the best way to care for your loved one or prepare them in the run up to their funeral. Embalming is never compulsory, but there may be reasons why we advise it in occasional circumstances.
